Eye Examination

A comprehensive eye exam looks at the entire eye and visual system, including prescriptions. A comprehensive eye examination can detect eye diseases and disorders such as cataracts, glaucoma, strabismus, amblyopia, retinal detachments, macular degeneration and many other eye conditions, as well as, other systemic health problems such as diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure etc. It is likened to a physical for the eye. Complete eye exams should be scheduled every 1-2 years, depending on age, risk factors, and physical condition.
