Melisa Siragusa
HBSc, O.D., Optometry
After earning an Honours Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Melisa Siragusa received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). During her studies at ICO, Dr. Siragusa became a member of the International Optometric Honours Society - BSK, for high academic achievement. She received training in ocular health and disease, therapeutics, contact lenses, pediatric and refractive co-management at several clinics throughout the United States, including the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Newington, CT, Highline Vision Center in Centennial, CO, and the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Siragusa is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists, College of Optometrists of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. She has served on the Ontario Association of Optometrists Member Services, Retention and Recruitment Committee. She is certified by the Board of Examiners of Optometry in the use of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents. Dr. Siragusa has also been accredited by the National Board of Examiners of Optometry and the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease in the United States.
