Contact Lens Fitting

Contact Lens Fitting

Contact lenses arenot one size fit all, they come in a variety of different types and sizes. During your contact lens assessment, the doctor will measure the curvature of the eyes cornea (clear front surface of the eye ) with an instrument called a keratometer. If the curvature of the contact lens is too flat or too steep for your eyes’s shape, you could experience discomfort or even damage to your eye. The doctor will also ask you questions regarding your preference of contact lenses, for example, if you wish to change your eye colour with coloured contact lenses of if you are interested in rigid gas permeable, scleral lenses, daily disposable, bi-weekly or monthly lenses. If you are over the age of 40, you may be experiencing difficulty with fine print, the doctor may also want to correct the condition with monofocalor multifocal contact lenses.

If you are over the age of 40, you may be experiencing difficulty with fine print, THE DOCTOR may also want to correct the condition with multifocal lenses or with monovision lenses
